For years AM 1540 WTKM has simulcasted with sister station, 104.9 WTKM.  104.9 WTKM is one of the only remaining full-time, full-service Polka stations in the United States.  In an effort to increase auidence share and serve an underserved auidence, 1540 WTKM is broadcasting it's own programming.  December 1st, 2009 marks a new era for 1540 WTKM, Good Time Rock & Roll!  1540 WTKM is South Eastern Wisconsin's sole source for Oldies, serving Washington, Dodge, Ozaukee, Waukesha, Fond du Lac and Northern Milwaukee County.  Rest assured 104.9 WTKM's Polka, Classic Country and Full Service programming will remain on 104.9FM long into the future.

AM1540 WTKM, in accordance with FCC guidelines only broadcasts on the air from sunrise to sunset.  This is to protect other stations from interference at night where AM radio signals can travel thousands of miles instead of just serving a local area.
